Regulations for the B. Pharmacy degree course in brief :

I. ADMISSION TO B. PHARM
1.Eligiblity : The Candidates having any one of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 education structure of Higher Secondary School of Tamilnadu State and belonging to all categories execpt SC/ST must have obtained not less than 50% of marks in aggregate in
Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botony and Zoology) or Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics
And a pass in English .
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, the minimum marks for admission is 40% in lieu of 50% for General Category.

- Candidates qualified in the Diploma in Pharmacy Examination.

- Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalency of qualification as determined by the Association of Indian University and must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry,Biology ((Botony/Zoology) upto 12th standard level with 50% marks aggregate and with pass in English language.

- Any other certificate other than HSC of Taminadu, the ruling of the Eligibility Committee of the University is adopted.

2.Age limit for admission: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year B.Pharm Course.
3.Duration of the course: 4 Academic Years (non semester)
4.Commencement of the course : 1st October of the Academic Year.
II. Direct Admission to II Year B.Pharm (Lateral entry)
1.Eligibility: Pass in D.Pharm course with either 50% marks both in I and II year Diploma course together as per Pharmacy Council of India 1991 Regulations, 50% aggregate marks in HSC examination with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
2.Duration of the Course: 3 Academic years (non semester)

The following original certificates should be produced at the time of admission:

- Higher Secondary Certificate/equivalent
- Conduct Certificates
- Transfer Certificate * Community Certificate
- Migration Certificate (Other than Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University candidates only)
- Eligibility Certificate (Other than HSC Exam Conducted by the Govt. of Tamilnadu)
- Pharmacist Registration Certificate (For M.Pharm., Course only)
